We hold our Bible Journaling Group on a Thursday night, once a month at the Church. It is simply a time to relax in fellowship whilst reading God’s word and expressing what we have read in our own creative way. Bible Journaling is your own personal and creative response to the word. It can be done at any time and anywhere. Bible Journaling does not have to be drawing in your bible, it can be as simple as writing notes in a notepad or a stick man drawing. Many people chose to use a journal or a devotional or a plain piece of paper those more confident may journal straight into their bible. Alternatively, Bible Journaling can be linking a worship song with a piece of scripture and journaling over the sheet music rather than in your bible or journaling the sheet music into the margin of your bible. There is nothing formal or perfect about Bible Journaling, no rules or guidelines. Bible Journaling experience will be different for everyone, because it is all about the way you want to respond to the word you are reading. Some pages may just focus on one verse of scripture, helping to deepen your understanding of that verse. Other pages may be more complex paintings or drawings showing a whole story or chapter from the bible. Calligraphy writing is becoming increasingly popular in Bible Journaling. It helps to highlight one particular verse whether it’s a favourite or it has more meaning to you than others on that page.
